What is Public Realm?
The Public Realm is the space between buildings that is open to the public. This space is sometimes small, including streets, sidewalks and trees, and sometimes large, including parks and plazas. The public realm can serve as the stage for a variety of activities and programs, and is how we usually travel to and through spaces. It connects places inside of University Circle to each other and it connects University Circle to our surrounding neighborhoods.
The Connecting the Circle Plan is focused on creating a strategy to improve the public realm of University Circle to make it more welcoming and accessible to all.
